Overview

Accountable for managing a single large project or multiple projects for a specific business unit, including sustaining engineering, new product development and OEM partnership implementations

Responsibilities

  • Manages and coordinates the daily operational aspects of automated external defibrillator (AED) projects, from concept assessment through transfer to Manufacturing, Service, Quality, and Production
  • Effectively manage project Stakeholders: members of the senior leadership team.
  • Maintains good communication within the team, other groups involved in the project and management.
  • Creates and maintains all project plans (High-level project plan and the detailed project schedule)
  • Proactive - anticipates problems and forms plans before the project suffers. Identifies and mitigates risks of the assigned project - Identifying risks, creating risk mitigation plans and minimizing risk
  • Ensures that all the documents needed for a project are complete per an already established Product Development Procedure
  • Addresses all the issues that need immediate action and attention and keep management posted on the status
  • Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems
  • Directs integration of technical activities and products
  • Provides leadership to program team, assures communication and cooperation among team members and resolves areas of conflict
  • Prepares and presents project status reports to a range of audiences - Senior Executives to Management
  • Understand and apply lean and process improvement principles (i.e.: Lean Six Sigma)
  • Comply with company policies and procedures regarding Employee health, safety and conduct

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in technical field (or equivalent combination of education/training and experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in Medical Product Development
  • 3+ years of project and/or personnel management
  • Successful track record in managing technical projects/programs
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make complex ideas understandable by internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated energy, drive, and edge
  • Proven ability to recruit, hire, train, motivate and manage professional team members
