Overview

Perform receiving inspection and in process inspection of a variety of parts and Class III medical devices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspections using engineering drawings, procedures, work orders, purchase orders, and/or verbal instructions.
  • Set-up and use test equipment and inspection fixtures according to written specifications and conduct necessary tests on parts, components, materials, subassemblies, and final assemblies to verify performance.
  • Perform standard and non-standard dimensional and/or functional tests using standard inspection tools and test equipment.
  • Accurately complete documentation to indicate acceptance or rejection of parts and equipment.
  • Demonstrate a consistent ability and proficiency to apply the principles of the Cardiac Science quality, documentation, environmental, and material management systems including, but not limited to: acceptance or rejection of parts, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), ISO and FDA quality system requirements, Non-conforming Material processing (NMR), sampling standards, and general work flow.
  • Provide engineering with information pertinent to drawing changes or procedural changes.
  • Perform normal first article inspections and special first articles to any part or assembly related to job assignment upon request.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures regarding Employee health, safety, and conduct.

Qualifications

  • One year minimum, three years preferred of inspection experience.
  • Previous experience with GMP’s, GDP’s, and FDA and/or ISO quality systems in a medical products environment or comparable inspection experience.
  • Candidates should possess a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
  • Must be proficient in reading and understanding engineering drawings, written instructions.
  • Must be proficient in the use of inspection tools, fixtures, and test equipment.
  • Have working knowledge of computer use and common programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
